The Gloria Sweater is a beautifully textured sweater featuring intricate twisted rib details. The folded neck, hem & cuffs are worked in twisted rib stitch, as well as details along the sides of the body. The sweater is knitted seamlessly from top to bottom. First the neck is worked, followed by the yoke where German Short Rows are used for shaping the neckline. The rest of the sweater (yoke, body and sleeves) is worked in the round. The sweater has long, straight sleeves. The pattern also offers a modification option for the body, allowing you to choose between a straight fit or a more tapered silhouette by incorporating decreases.
The Gloria Sweater is an oversized sweater with a positive ease of approx. 12.5 - 17 cm [5 - 6.75 inches] compared to the body bust circumference. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust circumference (of the body) of approx. 74 (84) 94 (104) 114 (124) 134 (144) 155 cm [29.25 (33) 37 (41) 45 (48.75) 52.75 (56.75) 61 inches] respectively. Keep in mind that the final measurements of the sweater already take these extra 12.5 - 17 cm [5 - 6.75 inches] into account. Ease is a personal preference. Take the necessary measurements to determine the right size for you before you start knitting.
