The Adorable Ginger mittens are beautiful cable mittens with cuffs in twisted rib 1x1. They are knitted in the round and bottom up, meaning from cuff to top.You start with a long tail cast on. The cuff is worked in twisted rib 1x1. After knitting the cuff, you’ll start making increases to shape the thumb gusset. When all the increases have been made, you’ll put the thumb stitches on hold, and continue knitting the rest of the mitten until the desired height has been reached. Then, you’ll start making decreases to shape the top and in a final round, you’ll close the top using the Kitchener Stitch.
All the necessary charts are included in the pattern per size. Note that you need to know how to read a chart.
The Ginger Mittens are a perfect match with the Ginger Hat, Ginger Neck & Ginger Shawl. You can mix and match and make your favourite winter set!
The Ginger Mittens are part of the growing Ginger collection. Each passing year witnesses the addition of new designs, every one of them incorporating the same elegant cable pattern.
